i like that boom boom pow!

Posted in music with tags on April 20, 2009 by Wicked.Sick

i had a delightfully enjoyable weekend without consuming much alcohol. +10 pts for me!

we did get drunk on thursday for allison’s bday and that was the funniest ever.

amanda is a funny kid.

she calls me tienisha.

lily

i saw lily allen in concert and we were front and center. like literally, i saw every beautiful inch of her body. i thought i was gay that night. the images of sexually explicit things that kept flashing in my mind as i gazed into her eyes are unmentionable on here. but i’m available for cybersex on aim..lol JK. but no seriously, i think i went home a little moist. she puts on such an amazing show. i want her body. she’s so precious and she’s got that accent. omg.

she looked right into my camera here! omg so sexy!

one of my fave songs on the new album is called “who’d of known”. it’s a cute little disgustingly romantic song about the super beginning of a relationship and the uncertainty of what’s gonna happen. like when people are super into each other and swallowing each other’s saliva in public and you saw “ew”. she has an adorable song about it. so, after hearing the album for the first time it was an instant connection with me. however…what made it better was that right before she performed this song she addressed me outof EVERYONE in the crowd. well, she actually thought me and matty poops were together so she explained the song’s meaning and looked and pointed at us and said “like you two” lol. so he put his arm around me and we played it off for like 2 minutes. all the time i was eyeing her up and down haha. so yea, that’s my little brush with her. she acknowledged my existence – i can now die happy!

the opening act “natalie portman’s shaved head” was really good too. i was eye fucking the SHIT outta the lead singer with his tight pants and his sexy haircut.

fuck you. fuck you very, very much.

um, yea. lily allen’s new album “it’s not me, it’s you” came out and i didn’t realize it. but as soon as i did i got that ish and she’s pretty much just amazing. while the title of this post was taken from the song “fuck you”, obviously slightly out of context, i still think it speaks to people in different ways.

the song’s obviously about political conservative assholes but just the fact that she stands up and tells them to fuck off is awesome. people just need to be told that sometimes.

anyways. speaking of sexy. i will be seeing her on april 18, 2009. super excited. it’s gonna be hot shit. buy the album! download or whatevs. just get it.

i fell in love today.

it happened on my way to class. i knew about her for a while but i just brushed her off. i didn’t really take the time to notice her or get to know her. but when i played that first song i knew immediately. it was love. i know, this is weird but just listen to her and you’ll know what i mean.let me put it into perspective:

(amy winehouse) – (5years) – (drug addiction) + (a few healthy pounds) =

ADELE

adele

she’s probably the hottest thing ever! like her voice just makes my heart melt i swear! i’ve been going through a rough/confusing time lately but when i heard her sing i just felt that everything was gonna be ok. now, she’s still kinda on the indie side and i feel confident in sharing her on here cause i know nobody checks this. but i HATE when people hop on bandwagons so PLEASEEE keep this one to yourself. i’m sure she’ll come into fame on her own time. oh! and she’s coming to philly early january and i do intend on being in the front row. she’s just…my god. ugh. perfect lol.

MOOSE!

Posted in film, music with tags on November 30, 2008 by Wicked.Sick

ok. i saw step up 2: the streets a while back. i don’t remember how i watched it (would never pay for it) or why (pretty pointless movie) BUT, if you happened to have come across it you’ll remember a character by the name of moose. or not? anyways…he’s played by adam sevani, one of the sickest dancers i’ve ever seen. so, my co-worker greg and i randomly share youtube “must sees” with each other and he told me about this one today. so i’m chillin’ in my room, recovering from “black friday” – the present day legal form of slavery – i youtubed the kid and saw his remake of michael jackson’s thriller that he did for his 25th anniversary. um, it’s fucking awesome. watch it.

NINJA!!!

Posted in music with tags on November 26, 2008 by Wicked.Sick

this dope band from brooklyn friend requested me on myspace (don’t know why i have one of those…networking?). but yea, i usually don’t like getting random requests from strangers but the name of the band was SHINOBI NINJA and my unheathly obsession with ninjas sparked my interest in the band. i checked out the page and they’re awesome. i love music that’s fresh and new and good and not yet commercialized. so, with that said, i’m confident in posting them on here cause nobody checks my blog! chyea. for the few who do, check ‘em out. they’ll be in philly on dec 12th.

“i don’t know how to get through, so i’ll get over.”

if you’ve haven’t yet heard coldplay’s latest, “viva la vida or death and all his friends”…PUHLEASE go do so. it’s amazing. ^ that’s not a lyric from the album, by the way. i know i’m beyond late cause it’s been out for like ever, BUT, in my defense, i don’t like to be into things when other people are into them. but yea, go listen. clear your head. realize that life is short so we must make the most of the time we have. carpe diem, but when you can’t, just let it go cause another one will surely follow. unless you die. but don’t think of that.

in all his sexiness…

alex turner of the arctic monkeys (one of my favorite bands) has teamed up with miles kane of the rascals to form the last shadow puppets, a side project. now, i’ve never really listened to the rascals but i love the arctic monkeys and alex turner’s voice so i decided to download and give it a listen. definitely one of those albums i wish i’d bought. it’s pretty awesome and they are great together. enjoy this video of them performing the track “the meeting place” (my personal favorite) acoustically live at avatar studios in ny.
